Boombay Djembe Folas is a five-piece LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. The band consists of an energetic group of drummers who play conventional rhythms. The love for the music brought these drummers together to form a power pact band! Besides drumming, they create interaction with the crowd via singing African songs and clapping. Anand uses the balafon (wooden xylophone from West Africa), which adds beautiful folk melodies to the loud and powerful drums. The band has played at venues like The Bandra Festival, SOS Acoustic Music Festival, Car Free Day, The Lil Flea, Healing for Nepal, and many more.
