Incarcerated

Incarcerated is a LIVE band based out of Chennai. Formed in 2009, the band plays blues music. Although all the band members work in different fields and organisations, their passion for blues music was what brought them together. The band has been playing in and around the Chennai music circuit since then, with outstation tours in between. Melvin is the vocalist of the band. He is also an Academic Music Consultant in rock and pop at TCL (Trinity College London) India, and an actor in the Mani Ratnam movie, Kadal. His earlier musical roots started with a band called Powerlyne (1998 to 2001) as the guitarist with the band. His musical influences include Beatles, Bob Marley, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Stryper, WhiteCross, Scorpions, Hendrix, Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, BB King, SRV, Joe Walsh, Eric Johnson, etc.
