Catastrophic Disintegration (CD) was formed in 2011 by Kunal, Nelson and Niranjan. Kishor joined in as a lead guitarist in the mid-year, followed by Pratik on bass in 2012. Later, Lenin joined the band on keyboard in the early 2014. It is an alternative rock band from Ambernath, influenced by Metallica, Dream Theater, Opeth, Creed, and Three Days Grace. Azaadi was the very first project of the band, which was completed and recorded on 31 December 2011 followed by Banjare on 30 May 2012. The band is mainly influenced by rock and classical music, and follows alternative rock classical genre. They performed their latest track called Katputli, at the recent Hillside Rock Festival held at Urban Haat, CBD Belapur.
